Welcome to the Sunshine Coast Orchid Society Caloundra (SCOSC) website.

Sunshine Coast Orchid Society Caloundra was formed on the 17th June 1960.  SCOSC was incorporated on the 12th November 1986.

The objects for which the Society is established are:-
a)    to promote and advance the practice of Orchid Culture, its pursuit and enjoyment, amongst the Society’s Members in particular, and the public generally;

b)       to promote, advance and disseminate knowledge of the natural history, cultivation and hybridisation of orchids amongst the Society’s Members in particular, and the public generally;

c)    to promote and advance good fellowship within the Society;

d)    to assist government and other authorities in the prevention of damage to, and vandalism of, orchids in their natural habitats; and

e)    to promote and advance co-operation between, and the pursuit of mutual interests with, other local, national and international associations, and their members, in respect of Orchid Culture.
